BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has now announced prepaid international roaming in a couple of new countries- the United States and Nepal. Customers travelling to the United States can now enjoy international roaming services on BSNL network in association with T-Mobile, while for the consumers travelling to Nepal, the services will be provided by telecom operator N-Cell. The government-owned PSU announced this news a couple of days ago at the soft launch event of 4G services in Kerala.
Alongside the international roaming announcement, BSNL also launched a new promotional prepaid mobile plan of Rs 67. The telco is calling this plan as Home Plan and will be valid for 180 days from the date of recharge.
Under the Home Plan of Rs 67, Bharat Sanchar Nigam LTD is providing unlimited voice calls to one landline number even on roaming. Yes, this plan allows users to make unlimited voice calls even on roaming to one landline number in the country.
But the Home Plan is limited to just Kerala circle, which is underwhelming. BSNL also stated that the new plan is valid from February 8, 2018, to March 31, 2018. But the benefits will be applicable for 180 days from the date of recharge.
If you're a new user joining BSNL network in the Kerala circle, the telco will provide you with additional benefits such as Rs 20 talk time in your main account and 500MB of free data. These freebies are valid for 30 days from the date of purchasing the SIM card.
And to set the landline number to which you want to make unlimited voice calls after the Rs 67 recharge, send an SMS as FFL to 123. Post sending the SMS, BSNL will activate the unlimited calling to that particular landline number from your prepaid number.
Also, do make a note that other calls on BSNL network will be charged at one paise/second and all other network calls will be charged at 1.2 paise/second. And lastly, this plan is applicable for both new users and existing users on BSNL network in Kerala circle.
