Vodafone today announced two new tariff plans for new customers who're looking to join the network. The plans are FRC 496 and FRC 177 and they both offer voice calling and data benefits. Both the new plans are exclusively designed for prepaid customers in Delhi NCR.

The FRC 495 plan is one of the best plan launched by Vodafone in recent times. This plan competes with Reliance Jio's Rs. 499 plan and gives 1GB data per day, unlimited voice calls- both incoming roaming and outgoing roaming for 84 days. That said, Jio's Rs. 499 plan costs Rs. 598 for new customers, which is more than Vodafone's tariff plan.

Sadly, Vodafone launched this plan in Delhi NCR itself. Hopefully, the company extends the plan to other circles in the near future. Speaking about the new offer, Alok Verma, Business Head, Delhi & NCR, Vodafone India, said, “We, at Vodafone, believe in providing the best network, service experience and value to our customers. We are pleased to extend world-class Vodafone services with a basket of offerings to mobile subscribers in Delhi NCR. The Rs 177 and Rs 496 First Recharges are very attractive offers for pre-paid customers wanting to switch over to Vodafone SuperNet”.

Coming to the FRC 177 plan introduced by the company, it gives unlimited local and STD calls along with 1GB data for 28 days. This is the same plan Vodafone introduced last week for existing customers of Rs. 181 and Rs. 195. The Rs. 181 plan gives unlimited voice calls and unlimited 2G data for 28 days, whereas the Rs. 195 plan gives 1GB data and unlimited voice calls for 28 days.

In Tamil Nadu, Vodafone introduced a Roam Like Home bonus plan of Rs. 61, which waives off the roaming charges whenever applicable. For example, you've recharged with the Rs. 348 or Rs. 195 tariff plan which offers unlimited local calls. If you recharge the Rs. 61 Roam Like Home plan on top of any STV, you won't be charged additional call rates even if you make the voice calls in other circles.
