Reliance JioPhone, which is scheduled to be delivered to the pre-booked users in the first week of September is now reportedly said to be delayed for delivery. The JioPhone, last week went on for pre-booking, and as per the company- ‘millions have pre-booked the device.’

The Mukesh Ambani-led company never revealed a possible delivery date, but always said, it will reach consumers in the first week of September. But now, a new report of IndiaTodayTech cites that the delivery of the JioPhone will be delayed by another week, maybe by another week. To be precise, the report says that the delivery may happen between September 10-15.
The publication spoke to some of the retailers around Delhi NCR who revealed the news. “Earlier JioPhone was supposed to reach our store around the first week of September. But now there will be some delay and JioPhone will arrive a little late,” said a Reliance Digital store retailer to the same publication.
Reliance Jio is yet to respond to this report, but this is an expected thing. The report also highlights that the delay in delivery is due to heavy demand. But wait, back at the Reliance Jio AGM meeting, Mukesh Ambani said that they’re looking to ship five million units of JioPhone per week.
So, did Reliance Jio receive more than five million pre-bookings? This is yet to be revealed by the company. For now, Jio has halted the pre-booking for the JioPhone, and there’s no info when it’s going to start the bookings again.
