BSNL, yesterday has finally come up with new promotional packs to tackle JioPrime membership scheme and other operator’s daily 1GB data plan. BSNL has this knack of revamping plans later than others but comes with best ones than private telecos. And the same applies to the yesterday’s promotional packs as well.

We have exclusively reported that BSNL is revising their Rs. 99 and Rs. 339 plans to match with the rivals. However, the major question will be: Will these plans be enough to compete with rivals? The BSNL’s Rs. 99 plan doesn’t fit the bill for many as it offers unlimited on-net calls and just 500MB of data for 28 days. The Rs. 339 plan is modified to provide unlimited data for 28 days with a daily data cap of 2GB.
To recall, Reliance Jio started this trend of offering 1GB of data per day with the Jio New Year Offer and later on, the new entrant converted the same plan to JioPrime membership scheme. Under which, Jio is charging a one-time membership cost of Rs. 99 and offering 1GB of data per day at Rs. 303 per month. Jio also has a plan of Rs. 499 that offers 2GB of data per day.
Bharti Airtel, India’s leading telecom operator also came up with a new plan of Rs. 345 that offers 1GB of data per day, however, the 1GB of data have to used as 500MB on daytime and 500MB at night times. Vodafone India and Idea Cellular also offering the same plan at Rs 348 and Rs. 346 respectively.
