OnePlus 3 is waiting to receive Android 7.0 Nougat update by the end of December. Prior to it, the company is rolling out several smaller updates in a phase-wise manner. The update is rolling out via OTA (over-the-air).

The feature of emergency calling for India is an update that goes on par with the mandatory Government order to add panic button in the smartphones. To utilize this feature, users in India will have to press power button thrice to trigger an emergency call.

Among the apps that the update optimizes is Snapchat. It will bring some fixes for video calling and scrolling lags. The 1080p full-HD video recording has been with the phone since launch. But, there was a lack of 60fps.

The OTA will reach a small percentage of users today, and we'll begin a broader rollout in a few days,” OnePlus said in a blog post.
