Asus has expanded its Zenfone 3 Series by adding two models – a 5.5-inch and a 5.2-inch variant of Zenfone 3 Max smartphones in India.
Commenting on the launch, Peter Chang, Region Head – South Asia & Country Manager for ASUS India said, “We understand the needs of the mobile consumers who are constantly on the move and require access to everything at the tip of their fingers. Through Zenfone 3 Max, we have been able to combine high-end aesthetics, a great photography experience, as well as a battery that ensures that users can enjoy their smartphone experience for longer durations without having to look for a plug point.”
Asus Zenfone 3 Max 5.5-inch (ZC553KL) Specifications
Asus Zenfone 3 Max 5.5-inch smartphone comes with an all-aluminum-alloy design with 2.5D contoured glass, combined with slim 2.25mm bezel and 73% screen-to-body ratio. The display is that of 1920 x 1080 pixels full-HD resolution. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-core 64-bit processor with Adreno 505 GPU. The processor is paired with a 3GB RAM. There is also an inbuilt memory of 32GB, expandable up to 128GB.
Besides, Asus Zenfone 3 Max 5.5-inch smartphone incorporates a 16MP camera in the rear (with f/2.0 aperture, five-prism lens, 0.03s Laser AF/Phase Detection AF/EIS/Dual Flash) and an 8MP in the front (with f/2.2 aperture, HDR, Lowlight, and Beautification modes).
“The backlight (Super HDR) mode allows users to see clearly through daytime shadow, super resolution captures multiple shots simultaneously for a single photograph with 64MP detail and low light mode takes clear and bright photos, even in poor lighting,” the company said in a statement released.
In terms of connectivity, new 5.5-inch Asus Zenfone 3 Max supports Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, 4G LTE (Category 4 150/50Mbps (download/upload)), GPS, AGPS, and Bluetooth 4.1. It has a fingerprint sensor in the rear that will unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds. The smartphone is dual-SIM and runs Android Marshmallow OS with ZenUI 3.0 on top. It also has an ICEpower enhanced speaker with dual microphone and noise cancellation feature. A battery of 4100mAh supports these features.
There are three color options available to choose from -- Titanium Gray, Glacier Silver, Sand Gold. The new Asus 5.5-inch Asus Zenfone 3 Max is priced at Rs. 17,999.
Asus Zenfone 3 Max 5.2-inch (ZC520TL) Specifications
The 5.2-inch variant of Asus Zenfone 3 Max too features an all-aluminum-alloy design with 2.5D contoured glass and 2.25mm bezel. However, its screen-to-body ratio is around 75%. The screen resolution is lower compared to the 5.5-inch variant. The display is that of HD resolution 1280 x 720 pixels.
The 5.2-inch Asus Zenfone 3 Max is powered by Quad-core 64-bit processor and Mali T720 GPU. The RAM is 3GB and ROM is 32GB. The memory can be expanded up to another 32GB. Similar to the 5.5-inch variant, this smartphone too features PixelMaster camera with a 13MP on rear and 5MP on the front. The front camera has f/2.2 aperture, Backlight (Super HDR) / Low Light / Beautification modes.
Other camera features include backlight mode (Super HDR) / Low Light / Selfie / Panorama / Beautification / Time Lapse / Effect modes. The super resolution captures shots simultaneously for a single photograph with 52MP detail.
Other features of 5.2-inch variant Asus Zenfone 3 Max are similar to that of the 5.5-inch. This smartphone too is dual-SIM and runs Android Marshmallow OS with ZenUI 3.0 on top. The battery is 4100mAh.
This smartphone too is available in the same color options as that of the 5.5-inch Zenfone 3 Max. It is priced at Rs. 12,999.
Availability
Zenfone 3 Max ZC520TL is available from today in all the major e-tailers and retailers in India. Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL will be available by the end of November 2016.
