This time, MTNL introduced new 3G data packs with 4 weeks of validity which is a deviation from their mainstay which was long duration packs with lower data offering.

MTNL customers in Mumbai will now get 2.5 GB Data at only Rs. 299 as opposed to their earlier pricing of Rs. 389. Other new data packs are STV 519, 671, 786, 876, 888, 949. For more details of the new tariff vouchers refer to the chart below.

In the last two months, the company has acquired only few hundred new subscribers, in comparison to other private operators who have acquired much more on account of superior data presence & 4G offerings. But introduction of these new monthly data packs clearly shows that MTNL also wants to challenge other telecom operators. The company is also offering premium Hungama content to its data subscribers as VAS offerings.
