STK Mobiles to enter Indian market with smartphones priced up to Rs. 9,999

Following its success in the country’s mobile phone accessories market, London-born brand STK has announced its plans to enter the Indian smartphone market. The smartphone maker will launch phones ranging between Rs. 2,999 to Rs. 9,999 in India.

STK has also planned to establish manufacturing and R&D facilities in India. The company is on the verge of closing discussions with various state governments on this. As far as the models are concerned, the initial STK launch will be its flagship Hero X, which will feature a patented inbuilt software application known as STK Care. This inbuilt software will notify the users about the threats and suggests automatic fixing solutions for the same.

There are other smartphone series for STK, including Galactic, Sync, Storm and Summer Fruits. STK targets to become one among the top three online selling brands in India within two to three years. By December 2016, the market can expect at least 10 smartphones from the company. "With the mission to bring the impressive mobile experience to customers at affordable prices, the company plans to 'redefine luxury' in the mobile market in India, with the diverse portfolio of more than 10 mobile phones across categories by December 2016," the company said in a statement.

"Our flagship products shall be one of a unique offerings making us the new face of affordable Luxury in India. There's a lot of patented technology we're building for India, which will cater to the local market, focused on enhancing the user experience and giving more," said Henri Salameh, Global Head & Executive Director of STK.

STK Mobiles is currently available in 20 countries and has sold over 3 million units. It has already established its presence in Latin America, Middle East, Africa, and the UK.
