Micromax Canvas Selfie 4 goes official with 8MP front camera and Tap sensor

It looks like Micromax has lots going behind the screen with more and more products rushing into the market. The latest that goes official is Micromax Canvas Selfie 4.

The Canvas Selfie 4 features an 8-megapixel rear and front-facing cameras. The smartphone is equipped with a ‘Tap Sensor’ that comes handy for clicking pictures and taking calls. The devices runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and comes a 5-inch HD display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor clubbed with 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB internal storage (expandable up to 32GB), supports 3G, and is backed by a 2500mAh battery.

Commenting on the launch, Shubhajit Sen, Chief Marketing Officer of Micromax, said,“Selfies are now the most popular type of photos snapped on a smartphone, with over a million selfies taken per day and 48 percent of that are shared on Facebook alone. With smartphones becoming the first device to capture precious moments with friends and family, a top class camera becomes a must have feature while buying a phone. With the Canvas Selfie 4 and its tap sensor we are upgrading the selfie experience of our young hyper social youngsters who are looking for a perfect integration of innovation, style and performance with an excellent selfie experience,"

The pricing for the Canvas Selfie 4 is not revealed by the company, yet. It will be available across the offline channel from the end of May 2016.
