After the OnePlus 3 got leaked in AnTuTu listing, there weren’t many speculations about the phone. At MWC 2016 held in Barcelona, the company’s Co-founder Carl Pie’s commented to CNET that OnePlus 3 is slated for release in June 2016. He further confirmed a ‘new design’ for the phone, regarding which he said,“it will be capable of captivating users like its first handset OnePlus One”.
Now, a German website Winfuture spotted a OnePlus device on the benchmarking listings on GeekBench and GFXBench. The device, listed as OnePlus 'Rain A3000’ comes with a whopping 6GB of RAM, according to GeekBench. However, on GFXBench, the device has 4GB of RAM. Both listings could be true and may be mentioning about different variants of OnePlus 3.
Besides 6GB/4GB RAM, OnePlus 3 is said to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (MSM8996) SoC clocked at 1.5GHz and Android 6.0.1. Other details include a 5-inch full-HD display, 64GB of storage, 16MP rear camera, and an 8MP front camera on board. According to Carl Pei, OnePlus 3 would arrive in the US and other markets as an unlocked smartphone and will be sold directly by OnePlus.
