Even though Asus's ZenFone 2 was a tricky one to reckon, thanks to Asus's messed up naming for the ZenFone devices. But the company managed to taste success with the ZenFone 2 because of its impressive specs, features, and acceptable pricing. Now, the renders of the successor to the ZenFone 2 have popped up.
These renders have debuted on Red Dot 21 website. There will be two editions of the forthcoming device, the Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Deluxe. The Red Dot 21 is a website that showcases best-designed tech products on the market. Well, it is not giving any award to the Zenfone 3, which means that this is a mere first listing that was most likely tipped by Asus itself.
Not much has been revealed about the upcoming devices in the listing. It suggests that the device will be featuring 2.5D glass on the front and rear, with a curved aluminium frame around the edges. The 'about' section, however, mentions that the device will be featuring USB Type-C connectivity, dual-flash (on both the sides), laser-assisted autofocus, and a fingerprint sensor. The upcoming phones will also have an optional "Smart Flip Cover".
Moreover, the page does showcase a handful images of the upcoming devices. Going by the images, it looks like Asus has made substantial changes in terms of design. More like what Gionee has done with its S8 smartphone. We expect Asus to price the Asus ZenFone 3 like its predecessor and also include cool specs to make it match the level. This is the first leak or render that has surfaced about the ZenFone 3, which means that we shall gear up to see more info flowing in the coming days.
