After creating enough buzz for the Vibe X3, Lenovo has finally launched the device for the Indian market. Following the trend, the launch event for the device was streamed live on YouTube. The Lenovo Vibe X3 will be retailing exclusively on Amazon through an open sale for a price of Rs. 19,999. The sale is set to start from 2PM tomorrow. Vibe X3

Unlike its predecessor, the Vibe X3 does not feature a rectangular design. It has a curvier design and is good to use for single-hand operations. The device features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1080p resolution, and is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, and sports a 21-megapixel primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), Sony IMX230 sensor, 4K video recording along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

In terms of connectivity, it supports connectivity options such as Hybrid dual-SIM, 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-FI, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and fingerprint sensor. Backing the device, is a 3,600mAh battery. The phone comes with 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD. In the multimedia department, the Lenovo Vibe X3 features Cirrus Logic WM8281 codec for noise cancellation, Texas Instruments OPA1612 amplifiers, and Dolby ATMOS dual front speakers.

As we pointed earlier, the Lenovo Vibe X3 would be facing stiff competition from YU’s recently launched smartphone, Yutopia. On one hand, the Yutopia offers 5.2-inch Quad-HD (QHD) display whereas, the Vibe X3 comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD display. Also, the YU Yutopia comes equipped with “retina proof” technology that hides the individual dots on the screen even when held 9.5-inches away from the eye. There are many other specs segments such as RAM, where Yutopia (4GB of RAM) scores better than the Vibe X3 (3GB of RAM). However, in terms of pricing, the Vibe X3 takes the cherry.

It would be interesting to see how the Vibe X3 fairs in India. What’s your take on this latest offering by Lenovo? Let us know through the comment section.
