The revision in voice products came after two months as the company hasn't hiked basic ratecutters in the mentioned period. In that period the telco has also launched Double Validity & Double Data products, which offers double validity or data on selected recharges.

Earlier, customers were getting all local & STD calls at 1.2 ps/2 sec with a recharge of Rs. 65 for a validity of 28 days. However, from now on customers would get same voice rates for calling purposes, while the validity of the product has now been reduced to 21 days.

Another popular Rs 49 ratecutter will now cost more as the validity of the pack has been slashed from 28 days to 14 days. The calling rate of local & STD calls remains the same @ 35p/Min. Those who were recharging with Rs 65 can now recharge with the new bonus card of Rs. 79 to get validity of 28 days.

Vodafone has 50 lakh customers in the circle and the majority of them are prepaid users, so this will surely make an impact on those users. Maximum customers rely on Vodafone's network as it offers most extensive network in that region. However, they haven't increased 3G data plans due to competition from smaller rivals like Aircel and Reliance.
