Airtel has silently withdrawn its daily roaming plan of Rs 5 & introduced a new daily roaming plan at Rs 6 which doesn't offer free Incoming calls. Incoming calls are being charged at 10 paisa/min.
Charging for incoming calls is odd in a roaming pack , when companies like BSNL are giving free roaming to users & even private telco like Aircel has made roaming incoming free between 5 south circles , with its plan "5 states, Single Rates".
Free incoming calls can be availed by recharging with roaming vouchers of RC 38, 72, 84, 188, 194, 306.
For Airtel prepaid subscribers, this new roaming offer can be activated by sending a text message "roam " to 121 . This roaming tariff is ideally suited for those heading to various destinations across the country, for a short stay.
