Only some Android Wear devices will get Wi-Fi even though all of them have required hardware

Google is bringing a laundry list of features to Android Wear based smartwatches with Android 5.1 Lollipop update. These features include a proper app launcher and scrolling through wrist gestures, but the most important feature is Wi-Fi connectivity. However, not every Android Wear owner would be ready for that.

All these smartwatches are using chipsets which were meant to be used in smartphones, so all of them have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS connectivity. However, not all of them will be lucky enough to get Wi-Fi support. Why? Well, some of these devices have inbuilt Wi-Fi chip, thanks to Snapdragon 400 chipset, but they lack Wi-Fi antennas.
