Motorola starts pushing out Android 5.0 Lollipop updated to Moto X (2014) in India

Yesterday, we reported about the Android 5.0 Lollipop update being rolled out to LG G3 in India, making it one of the first devices to after the Google's Nexus line-up of smartphones and tablets to receive that latest version of Android. Now, it is being reported that Motorola has started pushing out the Android Lollipop update to its latest flagship smartphone, the Moto X (2014) in India.

This will be an OTA update, so your device will get a notification describing about the update. If you have not been notified yet, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > About Device > System Update in your Moto X 2014. It is a phased roll-out, so it is possible that you might not get the update today.

The update brings all the improvements and feature additions from Android 5.0 Lollipop such as the transparent notifications area, material UI design, improved performance and app opening times, thanks to ART, Project Volta, improved multitasking UI, etc. The update also brings enhanced notifications settings, new animations, new battery usage consumption chart, notifications on the lockscreen, and more.

As promised, Motorola will soon roll out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Moto G (Gen. 1) and Moto G (Gen. 2). Have you received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update on your Motorola Moto X (2014)?
