The tariff for the 4G plans is on the higher side though the speed is almost similar to 3G network. We have already reviewed the 4G dongle and discovered that the speed was not outstanding. Another concern is the limited service areas wherein the 4G network is available.

Airtel has reduced the rental by Re.1 but has also reduced the free data usage by a whopping 25%. The Rs.2000 plan which offered 40GB of free data is reduced to Rs.1999 with just 30GB of free data. Another surprising aspect of this price hike is that Airtel is no more giving free 2G after 30GB of usage and is charging 2p/10KB till the bill amount reaches Rs.3,999.

Airtel has been hiking 3G and also voice tariffs frequently and it is by far the most expensive telecom operator. Airtel was in the news recently after it reduced the 3G plan validity by almost 30%. The telecom giant has been commanding the price hikes as it is in a leading position thanks to its well spread out network. The tariff hikes are not going down well with consumers though.
