Telecom regulator Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is expected to submit its views in 15 days on a few clarifications requested by the Department of Telecom (DoT) on the pricing and valuation of the spectrum for sale auctions proposed in February, 2014.
“The DoT has asked for clarification of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India about the pricing and valuation of waves 800 MHz, 900 MHz and 1800 MHz,” according to a report.
“We have received a reference from the Department of Telecom Friday and will try to submit the recommendations reviewed in 15 days calendar or even earlier,”said an official source.

Concluding comments by the TRAI regarding the case will be then placed before Committee interdepartmental telecom Council for a final appeal.
The next round of auction is proposed to be held in February 2015 and the Narendra Modi government which is estimated to collect at least Rs. 9,355 billion.
