Opera Software renews contract with Micromax for pre-installing Opera Mini

Opera is putting in lots of effort to become the forerunner in the Android Browser race. Opera was in the news recently as it joined hands with the Taiwanese chip manufacturer MediaTek and launched Opera Max which is claimed to save 50% of data consumption.

Micromax Opera MiniOpera has renewed its partnership with Micromax to supply its devices with pre-installed Opera browsers. They would be installing Opera Mini in all the devices being shipped to India, Russia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal.




Opera Mini is one of the oldest browsers in the market which is known for its extra ordinary data compressing technology that can squeeze the data and result in lesser data bills. Opera also comes with a dashboard that lets the users manage the data usage and also checkout on how much data they have saved by using Opera Browser.

Micromax spokesperson was heard saying , “Smartphones have paved the way for a more connected world, with internet being one of the game-changers in the handset industry. At Micromax, we have always strived to democratize technology for the masses through our innovative product portfolio, service offerings and smart partnerships. Through this collaboration with Opera Software, we are empowering our users with a seamless and faster web browsing experience, giving them an unmatched user interface on their smartphones.”
