India's national telecom backbone Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has come up with surprising ad campaign which takes on private mobile service providers over GPRS Packs. BSNL  puts its 2G data packs in the comparison with Data packs offered by leading telcos - Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India & Idea Cellular. The ad also says about latest GPRS tariff hike from Uninor & Tata Docomo.

BSNL Cuts off Services to IDEA, Airtel and Vodafone, Ignores TRAI Directive
Recently Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone India revised their 2G data packs and hikes 2G mobile Internet tariff, We at TelecomTalk, doubted that state operator BSNL may revise its widely popular data packs on 2G. But it seems BSNL is going to use this opportunity to grab new customers.

Here goes the ad from BSNL:
BSNL Ad campaign for GPRS Pack

Though BSNL offers industry's one of the most affordable data packs but with its wireless data services on 2G & 3G in many circles in North and East zone, subscribers always disappointed with poor customers service and shoddy RF network. However we heard it is good in most of all south Zone circles like Tamilnadu, Chennai, Kerala etc. BSNL must do something to improve its data services across the country as its known as India's National Telecom Backbone.
