The newcomer already confirmed its foray to the broadband department with the JioFiber service and other speculations say that there would be Jio DTH service and a VoLTE enabled feature phone from the company. Today, 91mobiles have come up with a new report which allegedly leaked the specifications and more details about the upcoming Jio 4G feature phone. Here are the five features of the upcoming Jio 4G smartphone which will excite you for the official launch.

Plethora of connectivity options

What would you expect from a feature phone in the connectivity options department? Well, the much anticipated 4G support and of course, VoLTE support to use the Jio SIM card. The latest report says it will have connectivity options such as Wi-Fi and NFC. That said, the device may also come with Wi-Fi tethering support, which will easily become everyone's secondary phone, especially, as a hotspot device.

There will be two variants of the phone

The report further states that there will be two variants of the phone- one with Spreadtrum chip and the other one powered by the Qualcomm 205 Mobile Platform. Qualcomm recently announced the 205 Mobile Platform for India, which brings support for LTE and VoLTE.

A 2.4-inch display and 2MP camera may adore the device

The Reliance Jio 4G Feature Phone is said to come with a 2.4-inch display, same as the Nokia 3310. The report also says that the device will have a 2MP camera at the back along with a 2MP front-facing camera. But there are no words on the flashlight support though.

You may actually store files on a feature phone!

RJIL (Reliance Jio Infocomm) is looking to change the meaning of a feature phone. The report says that both the variants will come with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which can be expandable via a microSD card slot.

Super affordable price tag

One thing which comes to everyone's mind when they hear Reliance Jio is the uber cheap tariff plans. There have been a lot of speculations claiming that Jio will price the feature phone below Rs. 1,500. That said, this new leak says the Spreadtrum variant will cost little above Rs. 1,700, while the Qualcomm 205 variant might set you back at Rs. 1,800.

It is also said that these feature phones come preloaded with Jio's apps such as JioMusic, JioCinema, JioPlay, etc. And to attract the customers, Jio might integrate WhatsApp as well, but the platform seems to be in question here. Reliance Jio broadband is rumoured to go live by Diwali, and the company might announce this feature phone around the same time itself.
