BSNL has just issued a statement regarding allocation of the short code "155214" as a labour help line number across the country to all the states and union territories of the nation.
The code 155214 will be opened in all Local Exchanges, TDM Tax /lP TAX /Soft switches, Mobile MSCs/GMSC, WLL MSCs of all telecom circles mapped to the corresponding termination/lN number.
Private the operators will be asked to open 155214 in their switches and route it to BSNL as per existing routing guidelines.
Calls from private operators will be charged as per inter connect agreement. It's a nice move on behalf of BSNL to give voice to the labour community which at times goes unnoticed.
