News is that Xolo is now going to launch its third variant of Q1000 smartphone that has been named Xolo Q1000 Opus. This device will be released in the market somewhere later this month. Let us have a quick look at some of the key specifications and major features of the Xolo Q1000 Opus smartphone:

Broadcom-BCM23550

Display: This device will sport a capacitive HD touch display of 5 inches and will offer a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

Processor: This smartphone has been equipped with an ARM Cortex A7 quad core processor of 1.2 Giga Hertz and a Broadcom chipset. It enables the user to stream content, via Miracast, on a bigger display.

Operating System: The Xolo Q1000 Opus will work on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version.

Memory: It will come with a RAM of 1 GB and inbuilt storage space of 4 GB. This device will also offer expandable memory space.

Camera: This smartphone has been loaded with a rear camera of 8 mega pixels and a front facing shooter of 1.2 mega pixels.

Connectivity Features: The connectivity features included in the Xolo Q1000 Opus smartphone are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS and 3G HSPA+.

Our Take: The Xolo Q1000 Opus device carries exciting features; most of them are similar to the original Q1000 smartphone. Nonetheless, it is quite a decent smartphone and is expected to be priced moderately, somewhere around Rs. 12,999. Xolo Q1000 Opus is likely to offer as well as stand competition against other handsets manufactured by different companies, such as Karbonn and Micromax, belonging to the same price range.
