The phone has already launched in China, and we expect most of the specifications to remain the same for the Indian market. The listing on BIS certification platform is a sign that the phone is going to be available soon in India.

The device is likely going to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and will also feature Leica tuned triple camera setup at the rear. The Xiaomi 17 will come with IP68 certification. It packs a 7000mAh battery in China with support for 100W fast-charging and 50W wireless charging.

The Xiaomi 17 has now surfaced across multiple certification platforms in the last few weeks. This signals an imminent launch for the device in the global markets, and not just India. For now, the next close launch from Xiaomi is the Redmi Note 15 series in India, along with the Redmi Pad 2 Pro. This launch will take place in India on January 6, 2026.
