Vodafone Idea (Vi) announced that it has significantly enhanced its network in 26 districts of Gujarat. Vi has deployed L900 technology across more than 3,300 sites in Gujarat and upgraded over 1,500 sites with L2100 technology across multiple locations. This expansion is part of Vi's broader strategy to upgrade its network infrastructure and provide its customers with the best-ever network experience following the successful raising of funds in its Follow-on Public Offering (FPO), the company said on Tuesday.

Enhanced Indoor Coverage
Vi has deployed L900 technology at sites in Banaskantha, Mehsana, Patan, Sabarkantha, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Valsad, Dwarka, Dohad, Botad, Aravali, Mahisagar, Kutch, Panchmahal, Navsari, Kheda, Porbandar, Morbi, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, and Gandhinagar. This deployment will enable Vi users to experience superior indoor network coverage in densely populated urban areas, Vi said.
Faster Data Speeds
Additionally, Vi has upgraded sites with L2100 technology across multiple sites in Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Amreli, Jamnagar, and Kheda to provide customers with faster data speeds.
Regarding the deployments, Sukanta Das, Cluster Business Head of Gujarat for Vodafone Idea, said, "The deployment of L900 and L2100 technology is an important step in enhancing Vi's 4G network in Gujarat. This technology upgrade will allow Vi users to experience stronger indoor coverage, superior call quality, and faster data speeds on Vi GIGAnet—our best-ever network."

In addition to the network upgrades, Vodafone Idea announced several new offers for customers in Gujarat, including the Hero Unlimited Offering, Vi Guarantee Programme, and Vi Movies and TV App.
