Vodafone Idea (Vi) has enhanced its network across Kerala by deploying additional 900 MHz spectrum on 8,000 sites. This expansion promises improved indoor coverage and faster data speeds for customers throughout the state. The upgrade follows a successful FPO in April, where Vi raised Rs 18,000 crore to further its 4G network expansion, Vodafone Idea said on Thursday. This network enhancement follows Vodafone Idea's earlier announcement of increasing 4G capacity by 150 percent across Bihar and Jharkhand, aiming to boost coverage and data speeds.

AGR Related: Legal Setback
In another development today, the Supreme Court has quashed the curative plea made by Vodafone Idea and other telecom operators for recalculation of AGR (adjusted gross revenue) dues, marking a major setback.
"The company is already on the verge of a financial crisis, which threatens its very existence. The judgment passed by this Hon'ble Court, prohibiting even the correction of clerical and arithmetical errors in the demands, foreclosing any reduction of the amount payable by thousands of crores of rupees and further imposing a penalty and interest on the penalty, is highly unjust," Vodafone Idea had said in its plea, according to media reports.
