Vivo X6 and X6 Plus announced with 4GB of RAM and Fingerprint sensor

Vivo has announced two flagship smartphones, the Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 Plus at an event held in China. The company has not yet revealed its plan to launch the devices outside the China, but we assume that to happen pretty soon.

Vivo X6

Both the smartphones are equipped with a 360-degree fingerprint sensor on the rear, which is touted to unlock the device in just 0.4 seconds. Vivo has also taken special care of the sound department, the Vivo X6 has been integrated with the AKM4375 audio chip, while the X6Plus comes with ES9028 DAC chip and YAMAHA YSS-205X digital surround signal processing chip. These audio chips are expected to enhance the sound quality of the device. Moreover, both the devices have been fitted with double charging chips that are aimed at charging the battery in a shorter time.

The Vivo X6 has been priced at 2598 yuan (approx. US$ 406 / Rs. 27,074). The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Funtouch OS on top, and comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of expandable storage. The phone sports a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and Phase-detection Autofocus (PDAF), along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It is backed by a 2,400mAh battery, and supports connectivity options such as Hybrid dual-SIM, 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Fingerprint sensor, and GPS. It measures 147.90 × 73.75 × 6.56mm, and weighs 135 grams.
