Simmtronics Enters The Indian Smartphone Arena With 5 Handsets

Simmtronics has now ventured into the smartphone market with its 5 new XPAD handsets. Four of these devices belong to the Fundroid series and have been named XPAD Fundroid Q1, XPAD Fundroid Q2, XPAD Fundroid Q4 and XPAD Fundroid Q5. The other one belongs to the Amazoid series and has been named XPAD Amazoid M1. The prices of these smartphones have not been disclosed yet. Let us have a look at the key specifications and features of these 5 smartphones:

XPAD Fundroid Q1:

  • This smartphone sports a capacitive touch display of 3.5 inches with 320 x 480 pixels resolution.
  • It has been equipped with a single core processor of 1 GHz and it runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform.
  • XPAD Fundroid Q1 features a rear camera of 2 MP and a front facing shooter of 0.3 MP. It is a dual SIM device that supports GSM SIMs.
  • The connectivity options include Bluetooth, 2G EDGE and Wi-Fi.
  • This smartphone provides a RAM of 512 MB, inbuilt storage space of 4 GB and up to 32 GB expandable memory.
  • XPAD Fundroid Q1 works on a battery of 1400 mAh.

 

XPAD Fundroid Q2:

  • This smartphone sports a capacitive touch display of 4 inches with 480 x 800 pixels resolution.
  • It has been equipped with a single core processor of 1 GHz and it functions on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform.
  • XPAD Fundroid Q2 features a rear camera of 2 MP and a front facing shooter of 0.3 MP. It is a dual SIM device that supports GSM SIMs.
  • The connectivity options include Bluetooth, 2G EDGE and Wi-Fi.
  • This smartphone provides a RAM of 512 MB and up to 32 GB expandable memory.
  • XPAD Fundroid Q2 works on a battery of 1400 mAh.
  • This device comes with orange and yellow free back panels.

XPAD Fundroid Q4:

Our Take: The prices of the smartphones have not been announced as of now but will be announced soon. The pricing will play a key role in deciding if Simmtronics can weave some magic in the smartphone arena.

” Simmtronics can weave some magic in the smartphone arena.” Seriously???!! With this specs it cant even stand in the arena for sometime.. It doesn’t have to be Quad core and 3GB RAM , but users expect some better specs, and it is big let down on the software side too. Gingerbread and ICS are way too old. 256MB RAM for ICS is a blunder.

They Should Upgrade them to Kitkat ( Atleast to 4.2.2) then only they can attract customer’s to their device..
Indian Markets are lack of Kitkat device, Its the part that every upcoming Budget Smartphone makers Should consider according to my opinion,
