“With design simplicity, exciting content and great data benefits, our new MoviNet Plan will maximize the entertainment quotient and experience for our customers. This innovative pack is aimed at bridging the gap that customers face between data and content,” Mr. Gurdeep Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Consumer Business of Reliance Communications said.

RCOM had conducted a study to understand the content consumption pattern of the people. According to the study, movies and music were found to be the two key drivers for the increasing content consumption. “…..customers do hesitate to consume premium licensed video content, given the high subscription fees,” mentioned a release from the company.

MoviNet Prepaid Plan

The prepaid MoviNet Plan starts at Rs. 235 per month and the plan provides 2.5GB of Any-Use Data, including 1.25 GB of ‘Any-Time Data’ access and 1.25 GB of night data (12 AM to 6 AM). The subscribers can also enjoy subscription-free unlimited access to a library of 8,000 movies, 50,000+ music videos and 3.5 million soundtracks—valid for 28 days. The entertainment content can be accessed via a web link the subscriber receives as SMS after availing the pack. Customers can also avail any number of recharges on the MoviNet Plan. MRP and data benefits of the plan vary circle by circle.

For postpaid customers, the MoviNet Plan costs a monthly rental of Rs. 450. Besides the subscription to Hungama Play, the postpaid subscribers also receive 3GB of high-speed data and 1000 min of local and STD calls. The pack also comes in a sachet variant for prepaid subscribers with a standard denomination of Rs.122 in all 13 circles and gives 1 GB of anytime data and 1 GB of night use data with 5 days validity.
