PUBG Mobile Promises Fix for Weird Plane Disappearing and Parachuting Issue After 0.12.0 Update

PUBG Mobile recently rolled out a major update in the form of 0.12.0 update to both Android and iOS users. While the update brought a slew of new features including the Darkest Night Zombie mode, it also brought a weird bug which several users are facing; The bug exactly is plane disappears, and even after jumping from the plane, players will remain in the air for a while. However, Tencent Games has now confirmed that it's aware of the bug and is currently in the process of fixing it, but the sad part is the company did not provide any estimated time on when it's going to roll out the fix. With a large number of users facing the issue, we're expecting the company to fix it in the next 24-48 hours.

What Exactly is the Plane Disappearing Bug in PUBG Mobile?

Well, if you're a PUBG Mobile player, you must've faced this issue, especially if you're playing on an Android smartphone. The bug seems to be affecting the majority of the users playing the game on Android smartphones as I did not notice a single iOS player complaining about the issue. Personally, I have noticed the bug on two smartphones- OnePlus 5T and the Vivo V15 Pro, and the game is working absolutely fine on the OnePlus 6T.

After starting the game, all the players in the server will be taken to spawn island, post which they'll be taken to the plane which flies over the chosen map. After the update, some users are unable to see the plane, but oddly, they can jump into the map. However, even after jumping, you'll be in the air for a longer period than the usual time.

Now you might ask, what if we follow our teammates; Well, you can do that, but you'll stay in the air and will land in a different place. Here's the fun fact- if you follow your teammates, they can see you beside them (which is your original landing place), unlike what you're seeing on the screen. So you land in a different place and loot everything nearby, but the truth is everything goes in vain as your location is different.

This issue is affecting a lot of PUBG Mobile players across the globe and even some YouTube streamers have stopped playing the game until the fix rolls out.

How to Fix the Plane Disappearing Bug

Aforesaid, I have been experiencing the same issue since the last couple of days and I have figured out two possible solutions. When I experienced the bug for the first time, I have just restarted the game, but that didn't fix the issue. A restart fixes the issue only after you land in some place (follow your teammates for that). And the second solution is to stay patient; If your plane disappears, don't panic and go for a restart immediately; Follow your teammates in that case and wait for a while, the issue will be fixed automatically before you land or before you jump from the plane.

Even after waiting for a while like after one minute and if the issue still persists, ask your teammates to jump in a safer place and restart the game which is the only solution for now. Another solution is you can stop playing the game until Tencent Games rolls out the patch fixing the issue.
