Chinese smartphone company, OnePlus already confirmed its next flagship phone- OnePlus 5 global launch date as June 20 and Indian launch date as June 22. So, it's now confirmed that the OnePlus 5 will come with whopping 8GB of RAM.

Now, it's said that the OnePlus 5 will arrive in two variants sporting 6GB of RAM and 8GB of RAM. If a report from True-Tech is to be believed, the OnePlus 5 with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage will cost Rs. 32,999, while the 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage option to cost Rs. 37,999. That said, if OnePlus goes with this pricing, it will be the premium OnePlus smartphone ever.

With that said, it might also become the cheapest smartphone in India with Snapdragon 835, and the Xiaomi Mi 6 doesn't seem to arrive in India in the near future. So, it will be a great pricing for the smartphone. To recall, the 128GB storage variant of the OnePlus 3T is priced at Rs. 34,999 in the country, which was well received by Indian consumers.

Furthermore, OnePlus also released an image revealing the design of the smartphone. In line with earlier leaked rumour, the OnePlus 5 will be an Oppo R11 lookalike with the same dual-camera setup at the back. And yeah, the OnePlus 5 is now confirmed to feature two cameras at the rear, but no words on the implementation though.

Another rumour says that there will be a 20MP main sensor along with a 13MP secondary sensor, which may be used to capture monochrome shots or it may be a telephoto lens. The OnePlus 5 said to have a 16MP front-facing camera, same as the OnePlus 3T.

The interesting aspect of the phone is its thickness. OnePlus already confirmed that the OnePlus 5 will be the thinnest flagship ever and the teaser image shows the same. Now, everyone's mind will boil down to the battery capacity, which is speculated to be a 3600mAh unit. But again, with its thickness, it may not sport a massive battery. However, OnePlus is well known for using up space on a smartphone.

Besides this, OnePlus will be running a campaign from June 12 with which users can witness the launch event of the phone. The company will start selling a kit on the OnePlus India official store of cost Rs. 999, which contains an invite for the OnePlus 5 launch event in Mumbai, a OnePlus T-Shirt, and a special invite code to purchase the OnePlus 5 on the launch date. And yes, customers will get a flat Rs. 999 discount with the special invite code.

The OnePlus 5 is less two weeks away from now. More details about the device will surface online ahead of the launch. Stay tuned to TelecomTalk for more updates on the OnePlus 5.
