NDTV today announced the launch of four new applications, NDTV Android, NDTV Blackberry, NDTV Play and NDTV iPad. The concept is simple, getting the news right there on your device, in a format that’s far more accessible on the go.

The applications feature stories, Breaking News and Videos live from the NDTV studios in India . Award-winning journalists and technology combine to report on Politics, Business, Cricket and Bollywood.

The application also connects the user to NDTV Social – where users can talk directly to anchors and reports. Users can also shoot and upload their stories to NDTV directly using the iWitness feature in the application.

With NDTV Play, the users can play video right from their desktop — without opening a new browser window for Mac and Windows. The desktop client can be used to search for videos or browse through media by category and create playlists that to view, edit and delete. The users can share their playlists with friends and the world over the Internet.
