MTNL Delhi Regularizes Trump 3G 185 and FnF Prepaid Plans

India’s First 3G Mobile Service provider Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) today regularized its Trump -185 3G and Friends and Family (FnF) Prepaid Plans for its subscribers in Delhi telecom circle.

MTNL Trump 185 3G Plan was introduced in August’ 2011 as a promotional offer for a limited period. Now the plan has been regularized for new and existing prepaid subscribers.

MTNL’s Trump 3G –185” prepaid plan is one of the most popular plan which cost Rs. 185 comes with core talk time worth Rs. 160, Free Local Video Calls up to 100 Minutes (Own Net) and Free 3G Data Usage up 200 MB valid for 30 Days from the date of recharge.

With this plan, subscribers can now enjoy all Local, (Voice and 3G Video) calls to MTNL Network just for 10 paisa /minute. While Local calls (Voice and Video) to any other network in Delhi and NCR will be charged 40 paisa per minute. All STD and National Roaming Calls (Incoming and Outgoing) will be charged 60p/minute.

Apart from the above plan MTNL also regularized its Friends and Family (FnF) Plan where in subscriber can make local calls to 5 MTNL numbers at 10p/Minute at monthly subscription charge of Rs. 50.

I wonder how many of the TT bloggers ever use VIDEO CALLS using the most hyped 3G. Of course Data usage could considerable, but then when compared to voice calls the volumes could far less. The service providers never cared to experiment with this segment of users’ demand. Definitely if the the rate is reduced from Rs.3/p min then much more revenue could be generated. In fact a suggestion was made earlier to TT to put up a survey posting to know the video call users !
