Micromax has launched  its two new smartphones belonging to the Bolt series. These devices have been named Micromax Bolt A59 and Micromax Bolt A28. They will be dual SIM smartphones with dual standby feature and will support GSM SIMs. Let us have a quick look at the chief features and specifications of the two handsets.

Micromax Bolt A59:




Micromax-Bolt-A59

  • It comes with a capacitive 3.5 inch touch display that offers a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels.
  • It has been equipped with a Spreadtrum SC7710 single core processor of 1 GHz and Mali 300 GPU.
  • Bolt A59 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform.
  • It features a primary camera of 2 MP with LED flash and a front facing shooter of 0.3 MP.
  • It carries a RAM of 256 MB, inbuilt memory of 512 MB and up to 16 GB expandable memory.
  • Connectivity features incorporated in Bolt A59 include micro USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 2G.
  • This smartphone features FM radio, a 3.5 mm audio jack and works on a battery of 1500 mAh.
  • It has been priced at Rs 4,542.

  • It has been equipped with a Cortex A5 single core processor of 1 GHz and Mali 300 GPU.
  • Bolt A59 runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform.
  • It features a primary camera of 0.3 MP with LED flash and fixed focus. It also carries a front facing shooter of 0.3 MP.
  • It carries a RAM of 256 MB, inbuilt memory of 512 MB and up to 32 GB expandable memory.
  • Connectivity features incorporated in Bolt A59 include micro USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 2G.
  • This smartphone features FM radio, a 3.5 mm audio jack and works on a battery of 1500 mAh.
  • It has been priced at Rs 3,674

Our take: The smartphones do not come with the latest set of specifications, even for a budget device so the only thing that could work in their favour could be their price. They have been priced decently well and are a good alternative for feature phones.
