Telecom regulator, Trai, has been under pressure over the last few months owing to the sub-par implementation of the new tariff regime. A lot of DTH and Cable TV viewers complained that their monthly TV bill has become higher after the new tariff mandate. After three months of fully implementing the new mandate, Trai stated that it would work on reducing the TV bills on consumer’s feedback. If you’re still suffering from high TV bills under the new mandate, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has a web application which allows users to calculate their TV bill before opting for the channels on the operator’s website or mobile app. The Trai Web Channel Selector tool is open for all and it lists all the channel packs with current prices available on your DTH or Cable TV operator’s portal.

Trai Channel Selector Application: What is it?
To help the subscribers in migrating to the new channel packs, Trai has launched a channel selector application. The channel selector application is available on the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India official website, and it is an excellent way for the subscribers to go through the process and list out the channels before actually finalising them. The channel selector application will allow these subscribers to get the right pricing for their selection and to have an appropriate estimate about what they will be paying every month, without a bias. Read ahead to know how you can accurately predict the pricing of your monthly channel subscription with the new Trai channel selector application.
