Kapil Sibal Gets Telecom Ministry

Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal will be new in charge  of Ministry of Communication & IT, After the resignation of existing Telecom Minister A Raja, today the additional charge of the Telecom Ministry is given to the Sibal by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Kapil Sibal is a prominent Indian politician and former lawyer and is currently the Minister of Human Resource Development. He also held the two ministries Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Earth Sciences in the first Manmohan Singh Cabinet. Now he will be also heading as the cabinet minister of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

This arrangement is seen to be temporary in view of the ongoing Parliament session when issues related to the ministry are to be handled at the senior level.

Good that the Human Resources Minister has been handed over the responsibility of the Telecom Ministry. The Indian Telecom industry need to look into the Human Resource Talent as well. Uninor inspite of entering the country within an year, seems to be downsizing their Resource Talent arbitarily and is not trustworthy, unlikely other telecom operators, who have trust on themselves and their resources.
