
Reliance Jio, India's largest telecom operator, had a great Q3 FY26. The telco's performance data was published by the Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) on Friday. Jio's net profit reached Rs 7,629 crore, up 11.2% YoY. One of the key highlights shared by the company was data of its fixed broadband business. The total 5G subscriber base also crossed 250 million during the quarter, and reached 253 million. The fixed-broadband numbers of Jio are growing fast, and it is a good sign as the telco is adding more and more high-paying customers under its ecosystem. With the fixed broadband connections, Jio also offers a free Set-Top Box (STB) with most of the plans. These plans also come with OTT (over-the-top) benefits. The plans for fiber (fixed broadband) and wireless (AirFiber) are the same.

Reliance Industries said that Jio's fixed broadband connections increased to 25.3 million during the quarter. At the same time, the JioAirFiber connections reached a total of 11.5 million (as of December 2025). Jio's home broadband business has expanded rapidly over the last two years, especially as the company launched AirFiber in most regions of the country. The AirFiber technology is also complemented by the UBR (unlicensed band radio) tech which is also supported by 5G and is providing high-speed internet to users in areas where the fiber is hard to deploy.

Jio said that its JioAICloud user base is also growing fast. Now there are over 50 million registered users for JioAICloud as of December 2025. Jio is targeting the youth and students of the country for its cloud business. Along with this, the company introduced Marathi and Gujarati voice search engine during the quarter and AI (artificial intelligence) auto-organisation of files.
