Touted as an industry first, Idea Cellular, the third largest telecom operator today announced a mega cashback offer on all new 4G smartphones. This offer is applicable to both prepaid and postpaid Idea customers who purchase a new 4G smartphone on or after February 23, 2018. All Idea customers will get a cashback of Rs 2,000 when they buy a new 4G smartphone of any brand, unlike Reliance Jio’s offer which is limited to select 4G smartphones. As part of the offer, Idea Cellular prepaid customers need to perform a recharge or Rs 199 or above every month to be eligible for the cashback. The Rs 199 recharge pack offers 1.4GB data per day, unlimited calls across all networks even on roaming, 100 SMS per day for a validity of 28 days. Customers recharging with any long validity plans like Rs 398, Rs 449, Rs 459 & Rs 509 need not recharge every month with Rs 199 again.
Idea prepaid customers need to do a cumulative recharge of Rs 3,000 in the first 18 months to avail cashback of Rs 750, while the remaining cashback of Rs 1,250 will be credited at the end of next 18 months if the cumulative recharge for the period is Rs 3,000.
For Idea postpaid customers, the cashback offer is applicable on all Nirvana voice combo plans starting Rs. 389 for the entire duration of 36 months. Idea’s Nirvana range of postpaid plans start from Rs 389 and goes up to Rs 2,999. And all the plans offer unlimited voice calls on all networks even on roaming.
The cashback offer is available April 30, 2018. Alongside this mega cashback offer, Idea Cellular has introduced a new television advertising campaign to promote this attractive offer to drive the adoption of 4G in India by enabling the upgrade of customers 4G handsets.
Idea’s new TVC to promote the campaign will go on air on February 23, 2018, across more than 100 TV channels. The 360-degree campaign, comprising of Television, Radio, OOH & Digital, will also be visible on the high impact cricket properties such as the India-Sri Lanka-Bangladesh T20 tri-series starting March 6, 2018.
