Huawei sub-brand Honor is all set to kick start 2019. The company has announced to launch the successor to the last year’s Honor 7A aka Honor 8A. The smartphone will be launching in China on January 8. As of now, there is no information whether the Honor 8A will come to India. But, considering the Honor 7A made its way to the country, we can expect the same from Honor 8A as well. Honor officially teased the launch of the Honor 8A on China’s microblogging site aka Weibo on Thursday. The Honor 8A is said to come packed with up to 64GB of internal storage and include an 8MP camera on the front for clicking selfies. The same Honor phone was spotted on TENAA last month and the listing revealed some key details about the Honor 8A.

Honor posted a teaser picture on Weibo. Although the teaser didn’t show the Honor 8A, but it did reveal that the smartphone will come in a 64GB storage option. We expect more storage options to be available for the Honor 8A. The teaser also reveals that the Honor 8A will come with an 8MP selfie camera on the front. On the hardware front, the teaser further reveals will be powered by an octa-core processor.
Honor 8A Passes TENAA
Notably, the teaser didn’t reveal the final photo of the Honor 8A, but it did reveal the outline of the phone and which shows that the Honor 8A will follow the trend and come with a waterdrop-style display notch. The teaser poster also confirms that the upcoming Honor 8A or the successor to the Honor 7A will include stereo speakers. If the Honor 8A comes to India, it could be the first phone to sport a waterdrop notch display under Rs 10,000.
