BSNL, the state owned telecom company, has introduced a STV-16 (Special Tariff Voucher), which enables its prepaid mobile customers to make ISD calls to Bhutan at the rate of 10 paisa per second.

Shri Anupam Shrivastava, Director (CM), BSNL Board said “BSNL is already having rate cutter STVs for so many other countries. Considering special relationship between neighbouring SMRC countries, BSNL has offered this concessional tariff to its esteemed customers. lt will be effective from 28-11-2014 for 90 davs”.
This STV costs merely Rs. 16 and entitles a BSNL prepaid mobile customer to make ISD calls to Bhutan at a much cheaper rate for 18 days. lt is worth mentioning that the normal ISD rate for Bhutan is Rs.10 per minute.
