BSNL to introduce new postpaid GSM plan Rs 1125, offers unlimited calling: Report

Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) has introduced new postpaid GSM mobile plan Rs 1125 offering true unlimited calling. BSNL has also revised existing postpaid GSM mobile plan Rs 1500 to offer 5GB data instead of earlier 2GB and revised mobile data plan to add unlimited offer. The new tariff will come into effect from 1st October 2016 on PAN India basis reports keralatelecom.

New postpaid GSM plan Rs 1125 offer true unlimited local and STD calling to any mobile or landline. The plan also offer unlimited incoming and outgoing calls on roaming and comes bundled with 1GB data and 250 SMS per month. BSNL has slight increased monthly rent for existing postpaid unlimited calling plan from Rs 1500 to Rs 1525. The plan now comes with additional data of 5GB instead of 2GB earlier. Unlimited outgoing calls during roaming is also now available on this plan.

Apart from new postpaid plans, BSNL has revised its existing postpaid data plans Rs 666, Rs 901 and Rs 1711 to make them unlimited plans. Rs 666 data plan now offer 7GB data and offer unlimited internet at 128kbps beyond free usage. Similarly postpaid data plans Rs 901 and Rs 1711 offer  10GB and 20GB data respectively with unlimited internet at 128kbps beyond free usage.

Recently Airtel launched two unlimited voice calling postpaid infinity plans to counter threats from Jio. BSNL has now responded with similar priced postpaid plans to attract high ARPU generating postpaid customers. BSNL had earlier revised its prepaid data plan to offer true unlimited data for Rs 1099.

Just look at this. So many variants and so many price models. Not just BSNL but all of the telecom operators. Though I am disappointed with the data provided in Jio plans I must say they have cleaned away the clutter and made it simple for everybody.
