By March 17th, 2016 AT 5:16 PM

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced promotional offers for broadband customers migrating from any private broadband provider to BSNL broadband. BSNL will be offering rent free broadband for one month along with free installation. The promotional offer is available for a period of 90 days in all the circles.

Under the offer, BSNL will waive off both broadband installation charges and one month Fixed Monthly Charges for broadband plan selected by the customer. Further, 500 free calls to all network (ON-NET/OFF-NET) for one month (in addition to already available free calls) under Broadband combo plans will be offered to the customer. To avail the promotional offer, customer has to submit the copy of private broadband operator’s latest bill, issued within two month prior to the month of providing BSNL Broadband connection.

BSNL has recently taken several initiatives to defend its broadband business which has seen stiff competition from private players and erosion of subscriber base. Recently, BSNL has announced 100 percent waiver on installation charges for landline and broadband connections and introduced many circle specific broadband plans. With the latest move, BSNL has taken its fight with private broadband players to next level by offering free broadband to attract broadband customers of private broadband operators.

Note: Do check with BSNL before opting any plans.

Someone may like it or not, but BSNL is improving it’s service in phased manner since last 1 year. At least in Gujarat I observed it. For other circles, residents of respective circle can say more.

In the last year, about 40% of all complaints registered by telecom subscribers were against BSNL, do you know? They are a pan India telco, they can’t provide patchy services, good in one circle, bad in another. No standardization is their motto it seems.

What’s the source of your data about 40 % complaints?? And did you read my point about improvisation in phased manner??? IT WILL TAKE TIME TO REESTABLISHED DAMAGES DONE BY PREVIOIUS WRONG DOINGS. Overnight is not possible in any field. SO either wait for some more time or you can choose any other operator of your choice. People used BSNL in last so many years with pathetic supports from previous government( which looted our country), but when BSNL is improving these days, people are just complaining and not ready to wait for some more time. Chill men, give some more… Read more »

LOL BSNL only starts working when there is a natural calamity it seems and I am not keen to experience BSNL’s amazing services by going through a natural calamity. ? It’s not that all other mobile services stopped working during emergencies, since BSNL is state owned, you hear a lot more about what they are doing because Indian government also handles affairs then and their ministers mention what government departments including BSNL are doing to restore services. Had BSNL done something out of the world, all Chennai people should have had ported out to BSNL out of sheer gratitude lol.… Read more »
