BSNL announces host of broadband plans for Indore subscribers; to be available from April 4

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), the state-run telecom service provider, has introduced unlimited broadband plans, exclusively for Indore SSA of Madhya Pradesh circle. The new promotional broadband plan will be available for a period of 90 days with effect from April 4, 2016.

The new broadband plans offer higher broadband speed of 4 Mbps before FUP (Fair Usage Policy) limit of 8GB. However, post FUP speed is limited to just 512 Kbps.

The plan also offer Unlimited free calls between 9 PM to 7 AM to any network in India. The broadband plans is also available on FTTH with same Fixed Monthly Charges. Customers can also enjoy the benefits of annual payment option by making advance payment for one, two and three years.

The new broadband plan is part of BSNL’s strategy of introducing more SSA and circle specific broadband plans to counter competition from local broadband players. The above plan is only offered in those locations/colonies of Indore SSAs, where there is a matching competition from private operators

Now a day “Unlimited” word has become a Joke.

the problem is their network is not updated at all to provide everyone 2mbps UL plans. Its beyond their capacity. NGN might change the scene but the whole NGN upgrade is going to take atleast 4-5yrs.. We can expect 2mbps UL in 2020 to be very honest. Congress regime was not even interested in NGN during their rein. It was a big dent to the their treasury department. Our governments motto is to provide everyone food and water first and later broadband.
