It is quite common to come across complaints of bad connectivity and poor internet connection from people living in rural areas. This is due to the lack of internet connectivity offered by the service providers in these regions. It is quite tedious to get provide FTTH and broadband facilities in these areas. The State-run telco BSNL has come to resolve this issue with the Bharat AirFibre Services for remote areas facing connectivity issues.
With this service, homes in rural areas can get broadband, voice and IPTV services. Notably, this is different from the wired broadband services that are available in urban areas. The Bharat AirFibre plans are wireless and are based on radio-based solutions.
Bharat AirFibre Services Explained
The newly introduced Bharat AirFibre Services give a maximum download speed of 80 Mbps and a free static IP address. There are two plans – AirFibre Ultra and AirFibre Ultra Plus are priced at Rs 2,995 and Rs 6,995 respectively. Both these plans offer benefits including unlimited calling facility, a download speed of up to 80 Mbps with 5000 GB and 7500 GB of FUP respectively. Once the FUP is reached, the speed will drop to 15 Mbps and 25 Mbps in both plans respectively. Notably, if you opt for an annual service, you will get a month of free service.
For the uninitiated, BSNL launched the new AirFibre plans with speeds of 30 Mbps to 70 Mbps earlier this year. These plans are priced at Rs 499 onwards and offer a download speed of up to 30 Mbps and up to 3300 GB of FUP limit. The Basic plan offers unlimited data at 2 Mbps after reaching the limit and has unlimited calling.
