Asus has unveiled another budget Android device today, known as the Zenfone C-ZC451CG. The smartphone comes for a price of Rs 5,999 and is available on Flipkart. It will also be available offline through Asus Exclusive retail stores starting from February 18.

Talking about the specifications, the Zenfone C comes with a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 854×480 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel CloverTrail processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.

The Zenfone C sports a 5-megapixel auto-focus primary camera with LED flash along with a VGA secondary camera. The phone features Pixel master technology, which brightens the pictures by up to 400 percent in low light conditions. It is backed by a 2,100 mAh battery, and supports connectivity options such as Dual SIM, 3G support, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS with GLONASS, and Wi-Fi. The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Zen UI on top. There is no information if it will receive an update to the Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Given the price and specifications, Zenfone C fits somewhere in between Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 5. Moreover, it will face serious competition in this price range from devices such as Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Huawei Honor Holly and the Motorola Moto E.

Peter Chang, Regional Head, South Asia & Country Manager, System Business Group, commented on the launch, “Redefining the smartphone experience for consumers at affordable price points is the new ZenFone C. It incorporates the strategic features of the range like a sublime interface and seamless functionality that has already captured a sizeable portion of the tech-savvy market. Combining finely crafted design with ace performance; this is a pocket friendly device that makes for an incredible customer experience,” he said.

Asus should change the mobile design. Else no one will buy. Front side bottom that shiny design not good.

Feature-wise , price-wise really good Real VFM mobile, real competitor for Xiaomi Redmi1s, Moto e , ….. but lets see how it performs in review…..
Another thing, looks like they atlast understands their Zenfone4 battery backup downside, and fixed it with 2100mah battery, which is quite OK for 4.5 inch display i think…..
