Xiaomi has surprised us to the core with the pricing of each of its smartphones. The Xiaomi Redmi 1s which is its cheapest smartphone offering has just been announced for Rs 6,999 and from the first look, it appears to be the best sub Rs 7,000 smartphone and the Moto E which is considered the benchmark comes nowhere close to it. Let us take a look at its specifications:

Xiaomi-Redmi-1S

Xiaomi Redmi 1s specifications

  • 4.7 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels
  • 1.6 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor
  • Adreno 305 GPU
  • Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with MIUI V5.0
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded by another 64GB
  • 8MP rear camera with a BSI sensor and LED flash for better low light imaging. The aperture size stands at f/2/2 and it will record videos in 1080p resolution too for you. The front camera is a 1.6MP one. , f/2.2 aperture, 1.4?m sensor, 1080p video recording

It is a phone which even if priced at Rs 13,999 (at par with Moto G) would have done better that Moto G. But it has been priced at par with Moto E which costs Rs 6,999. It is expected to go on sale soon but Xiaomi has surely shook the market with its range of devices.
