Apple had silently introduced the successor to the iPad mini 3 during the same event where it unveiled the iPad Pro. Now, the Apple iPad mini 4 has been launched in India, and it is available in the country with a starting price of Rs. 28,900. The device is available in India in Wi-Fi only as well as Wi-Fi + Cellular variants in three different storage capacity variants. The 16GB Wi-Fi only variant of the iPad mini 4 is priced at Rs. 28,900, while the 16GB Wi-Fi + Cellular variant of the tablet is priced at Rs. 38,900. The prices go up to Rs. 42,900 and Rs. 52,900 for the 128GB variants in Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + Cellular models respectively.
The Apple iPad mini 4 runs iOS 9 out of the box, and features a 7.9-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD Retina display with a resolution of 1,536 x 2,048 pixels (326 ppi) and fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating, stereo loudspeakers, an 8-megapixel primary camera with 1080p video recording, a 1.2-megapixel secondary camera. A dual-core Apple A8 processor with PowerVR GX6450 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16/64/128GB of internal storage space, and a 5,124 mAh battery keep the device running. In terms of connectivity, the iPad mini 4 comes with dual-band Wi-Fi ac/b/g/n, 4G LTE (in cellular variants), Bluetooth v4.2, and GPS (with A-GPS). The device also features a TouchID fingerprint sensor for enhanced security.
