Google’s Nexus 9 tablet, which went on sale in October on Google Play store, is now available on Amazon for purchase. The 16GB WiFi Indigo black variant is priced at Rs 28,900. However, it’s not clear whether the LTE version will also available. The Nexus 9 32GB LTE version is currently priced at Rs 44,900 on the Google Play Store.
There’s no difference in pricing of both the variants listed on the Google Play Store and Amazon. Although, listing the devices just on Google play store bears multiple disadvantages. Firstly, it limits the customer base in India, as it does not accept payment through net banking or debit card. Due to the low credit card penetration in India, only a couple of million citizens benefit from the offers presented via Play Store.
The Nexus 9 tablet is manufactured by HTC and features an 8.9-inch QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) IPS LCD display, dual front-facing HTC BoomSound stereo speakers, an 8-megapixel primary camera, and a 1.6-megapixel secondary camera. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, powered by a 2.3GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra K1 processor with 64-bit Denver CPU cores, 192-core Kepler GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal storage space.
Its connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi ac/b/g/n with 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth v4.1, A-GPS (LTE version only), and microUSB v2.0 port. It is backed by a 6700mAh battery which is touted by the Google to last up to 9.5 hours of web browsing or video playback when connected to a Wi-Fi network.
