Telecom operator Bharti Airtel has now silently come up with a new tariff plan of Rs. 444, with which the operator once again counters Reliance Jio. Airtel's Rs. 444 plan offers similar benefits as Jio's Rs. 399 tariff plan and even the validity is the same. In recent times, Airtel has been competing with Reliance Jio in every aspect possible, especially, Airtel is going neck on neck to Jio in the tariff plans department.

With the Rs. 448 tariff plan, Airtel is offering unlimited voice calls including local and national roaming calls. However, voice calls are limited to 300 minutes per day and 1200 minutes per week. Alongside voice calls, this plan also offers 1GB data per day and 100 SMS per day.

And the plan is valid for 70 days. Another best part of this plan is it is valid for all users irrespective of the handset. There are some plans of Airtel which are valid only for 4G subscribers, but this plan is valid for all subscribers using any smartphone.

Comparing this plan to Reliance Jio's Rs. 399 plan, it also gives unlimited voice calls without any limit, 1GB data per day whose speed will be reduced to 64 Kbps, and unlimited SMS. That said, Jio's Rs. 399 plan is also valid for 70 days. Jio's plan also comes bundled with a premium subscription for Jio apps such as JioCinema, JioTV, JioMusic, etc.

So, both the plans from Airtel and Jio offer similar benefits, but Airtel's plan is slightly on the steeper side and also limits the voice calls. However, having such plan from a leading telecom operator is a huge bonus for the customers.

Note: This plan from Airtel is valid only for select customers. Customers can check for the plan by heading over to My Airtel application and some customers even started receiving an SMS from Airtel.

Note: This plan is open for all customers.
