Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) held its Annual General Meet (AGM) earlier today. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director, of Reliance Industries, touched upon several key updates around the digital services under Jio. There were updates about Jio's 5G customers, Jio AirFiber and more.

Jio has been covering good ground when it comes to 5G. As per Mukesh Ambani, Jio has already reached 96% of census towns with 5G. To simplify this, Jio has not really covered each and every corner of these towns but has launched 5G at least in one or more parts of these towns.

Mr Ambani said, "In just nine months, Jio 5G is already present in over 96% of the census towns of our country. And we're on track to cover the entire country by December of this year. This makes Jio 5G the fastest-ever 5G rollout of this scale anywhere in the world."

The company sees an addressable market of 200 million high-paying homes and premises with the arrival of Jio AirFiber.
